Read For The Record

Join Ranger Good Works as we participate with “Jumpstart’s Read for the Record® reading campaign at Dillard Elementary School on Thursday, October 19, 2017, to be a part of the world’s largest shared reading experience this initiative brings together over 2 million people each year in classrooms, libraries, community centers, and homes across the US. This annual campaign was launched over a decade ago to highlight the importance of building early literacy and language skills for every child so that all children have the opportunity to enter kindergarten prepared to succeed.”

When you sign up you’ll receive detailed information regarding your assignment.

  • Time of the reading event at Dillard Elementary school is from 8:30 am until about 9:30 am
  • Read to Preschool and Kindergarten students

This year’s Read for the Record book is Quackers, by Liz Wong, a delightful story about a kitten who grows up believing he’s a duck, until the day he meets another kitten. What follows is a sweet tale about understanding, acceptance, and learning it is ok to be whoever you want to be.

We look forward to having you join us for our Read For The Record event.
